I have had 2 annual surveillance visits by external auditors postponed this week at short notice which created problems in agreeing new dates for the visits when it has to fit in with not only my clients work schedule but also my diary and that of the replacement external auditor. Not good news for me as I have to move my appointments to suit the client and the external auditor.
I have been working with HighSpec Doorsets of Newtown to put in the management systems to enable them to get UKAS certification to ISO9001 2008 followed by FSC and then CE Marking of their products. Last week I spent 2 days auditing the Quality management procedures and also helped with the management review which was attended by the chairman, the commercial director, the operations director and the technical manager. Following my audits an action plan has been produced by the technical manager to address the issues raised which will enable them to apply for certification by BM TRADA, who will also be able to provide FSC certification.
Another area of manufacturing to add to my client base.
I am finding more and more potential customers are approaching me to quote for ISO9001 Management Systems. these are coming through Linkedin, 4 networking and recently a glowing testimonial from one of my existing clients. As well as continuing to provide an ongoing support for my existing customers I have been asked so far this year to quote for 6 new potential clients either for ISO9001 or 14001 or both Standards.
