Next week I am booked into 3 networking events; Tuesday 4N Hagley, Thursday WNBH Kidderminster and Friday 4N Ross all of which offer great opportunities to meet potential new clients as well as opportunities to touch base with existing clients.
My client in Newtown, Powys, who manufactures and sells fire safety doors and associated products for the construction industry, is going for ISO9001 2008 accreditation with a UKAS registered company, BM TRADA. The client needs to follow this up with CE Marking approval and FSC registration. Yesterday was the Stage 1 Document review for ISO9001 which resulted in no non conformances and no observations. The client has been reccommended for the Stage 2 audit which is fixed for early November. This was the first time I had helped a client who chose to use BM TRADA as the external auditing body. I was very impressed with the general approach to the audit by the external auditor and the way he dealt with the client’s technical manager, who was rather nervous about the audit.
S ince joining 4 Networking last year I have had a number of successful referrals. I regularly support the networking Groups at Hagley, Worcester and Ross. I also use 4 Networking meetings for breakfast networking at other locations before going to appointments with clients in those places.
attached are my notes for the presentation I gave to the Worcester Business Breakfast club this morning at the Fownes Hotel

This week I will be working on producing Quality Manuals and Operating Procedures for 2 new clients. In addition I will be taking part in two breakfast networking events on Wednesday and Thursday at the Fownes Hotel and the Three Pears both in Worcester.
Last week my client in Hereford, Mediterranean Linens, had their annual surveillance visit from an external auditor for AJA. The day went well with only 3 reported Observations and no non compliances.
It is interesting to note that over the last few months all my new enquiries have been for me to quote clients for putting in systems to meet the requirements for ISO9001 2008. I have had no enquiries for ISO14001 either as a set of stand alone Procedures or in conjunction with the ISO9001 systems.
